The Ampeg SVT-3 Pro is a modern classic among bass amplifier heads, legendary for delivering the warm, harmonically rich sound of Ampeg’s classic SVT line in a highly portable and versatile rackmountable design. Featuring a hybrid architecture, it combines a tube preamp section with a high-efficiency solid-state power amplifier to achieve high headroom, punchy dynamic response, and authoritative low-end clout.

The SVT-3 Pro equips bassists with precise tone-shaping capabilities: a 3-band EQ with a 5-position Midrate Frequency Selector, a 9-band graphic equalizer for surgical frequency adjustments, and a Tube Gain control that adjusts the plate voltage of the preamp tubes—ranging from smooth, transparent warmth to rich tube overdrive. Additional features include a balanced XLR Line Out with level control, a Mute switch, and an integrated FX loop.
